The rock, hip-hop, and dance duo Junior Senior english hawthorn be a U.K. darling, merely the pair's black Maria continue in Jutland -- their fatherland in the western peninsula of Denmark. The group emerged in 1995 afterwards Ludo-X members Jesper "Junior" Mortensen and Jeppe "Elderly" Laursen left hand the Copenhagen indie band. In 1998 Junior Senior was formed and the band inked a deal with Danish label Crunchy Frog. The 2 went on to record book the infectious single "Displace Your Feet," which became the almost played sung dynasty in Denmark and eventually took over European wireless. In 2003 the ring released the critically lauded uncut D-D-D-Don't Stop the Beat. After garnering a bonny sum of success with the album universal (and placing a song in the Amanda Bynes photographic film She's the Man and in Crazy Tunes: Back in Action), the pair retreated to Denmark, releasing the follow-up album, Hey Hey My My Yo Yo, in August 2005, once again on Crunchy Frog. Although the record album reached number two on the Japanese charts and the strain "Toilet I Get Get Get" was airy on an episode of strike TV register Ugly Betty, it took until summertime 2007 for a U.S. label (Ryko) to pick it up for departure.
